The case for a 60-second nightly ritual

Most skincare advice fails the Tuesday-at-11pm test.

You finish work. You eat something late. You lie down on the couch for ten minutes that becomes forty. You stand up. You catch your reflection in the bathroom mirror under that one terrible overhead light. You look tired. Your skin looks tired. You think about your eleven-step routine. You think about how it requires four bottles to be opened in the correct order. And then you brush your teeth and go to bed.

The bottles weren't the problem. The order wasn't the problem. The problem was that the routine was designed for the version of you who has thirty minutes and patience. That version of you exists on Saturdays. The Tuesday-night version of you needs something else.

That's the entire premise of Lakshmia.

One ritual. Sixty seconds. Every night.

Wet a cloth. Press it to your face for sixty seconds. Tap a pearl of cream around your eyes. Lights out.

That's it. There's no step twelve. There's no order that changes depending on the day. You can do this in the dark. You can do this when you're sick. You can do this when you've decided you can't possibly do skincare tonight.

And because you can do it on the worst night you've ever had, you do it. Two weeks of that is what gives you the skin you wanted from the twelve-step shelf you stopped opening.

Why turmeric, why kojic, why now

Turmeric has been part of the women's skin tradition in India for thousands of years. The reason is boring and good: it works gently, it brightens over time, and it doesn't fight your skin barrier. The reason it's having a moment now is that Western skincare has finally caught up to what your grandmother probably already knew.

Kojic acid is a softer alternative to hydroquinone for evening out tone. Mushroom-derived, gentle, and effective with consistency.

Lakshmia took both, wove them into a reusable cloth, and added a quiet collagen cream for the soft skin around your eyes. Two products. One ritual. The compound interest of doing it every night is what does the work.

A note on what we won't do

We won't show you before-and-afters we can't back up. We won't tell you your skin will transform in three days. We won't run a fake countdown timer on your cart.

What we will do is make a small thing that works gently, ship it quickly, answer your email personally, and stand behind it for thirty days. If your skin doesn't feel softer or look a little more even, we make it right.

That's the whole brand. The 60-second nightly ritual is the product. The promise is the warranty.

Wash gentle. Glow loud.
